G37 6MT - Steering/Seat auto adjust on exit/entry

Does the 6mt not have this function?? In the owner manual it appears it does not!? Why?

When i turn off the car, it seems like it starts to do something then stops. I tried pressing "Set" for 10 seconds. No change...

I think the coupe has this option, the 6MT sedan does not. A few people have set one (of the 2) settings as an 'exit' setting.

Interesting... I posted this question about a month ago after leasing my g37s sedan. I found how to do it from an Infiniti tech. The responses i received sounded like everyone knew that ,and i was the idiot.

anyway , search my posts from around a month or so ago and you will find it..
It was titled something to do with speed sensitive door lock disable etc...
This saves you from having to push a different memory setting to do it.

Its only a feature for the autos from what i understand and not for MTs for "safety" reasons as i was told by the dealer years ago.

In case your car is in gear and you have the clutch pushed in and you accidentally hit the start button after opening the door you dont want to be pulled away from the clutch causing the clutch to release and the car to move. Made sense to me.

I'm pretty sure us coupe guys don't have the capability at all because if there's someone in the back seat, it has the potential to crush their legs.

My wife uses my setting (#2) when she gets out of the car. She says she has to open the door before she can activate it. Once the door is open she presses 2 so the seat goes back and makes it easier to get out.

Edit: We don't have an exit feature as I believe like what was stated they don't have it on the coupes.

wait...what? i have the 6mt. mine does. we're talking about the adjustment the seat makes when and if you adjust the steering column and seat while you're driving (once you get out and back in), yes?

No, I believe they are talking about the seat going all the way back and the steering wheel going all the way up automatically after the vehicle is turned off. This makes it easier to enter and exit the car.

I've heard of 6MT sedans that do have the feature. Like I said I'm fairly certain it's mainly a coupe thing because of the limited rear leg space.

My 07 6mt sedan has this feature. I disabled it tho. You cant edit any of the settings without first pulling up the handbrake

We are talking about the seat/steering auto adjust on exit. Meaning the wheel tilts up seat moves, etc.. making it easier to get in and out. Nothing more. Others have suggested memory seat function as an alternate solution. I want to know if there is a way to enable the actual auto adjust for exit/entry on the 6MT.

I had handbrake up. Its not in settings. Read entire manual - the "hold set button for 10 secs to enable" doesnt work.

Others have explained why it is disabled on the 6MT. I want to know if there is a trick to enable. Not looking for alternate solutions. Thanks!
