I think it depends on the color of the car. I like yellow on my white G. But others I think would look better same as headlights.

I have a graphite shadow and went with yellow fogs but I don't think they are HIDs. I would post pics but they never come out correct.

If you want functional fogs, go with yellow. For looks, go with the colour temperature that matches your headlights.

I had matching 6000k HID fogs in my Mazda 3, and they're quite useless in fog / rain.

^^^What he said x eleventy billion^^^
Guys running the 6000K+ "fog lights" aren't fog lights at all. They're not really even very useful as driving lights. They're "for show" lights. They produce hardly any usable light in darkness, rain or fog at all. If you want to see the road better in all conditions, especially rain or fog, get some 3000K or 2500K yellow bulbs.

If you like the look of yellow fogs and want the functionality then I say go for it. I for one hate yellow fogs. I guess i see too many riced out hondas riding around with them. Wait a minute, I just saw the part about your headlights being 8000k. Definitely get the yellow fogs because the light output is really diminished with 8000k bulbs. I will never go above 6000k nor below 5000k. BTW I have both 6000k headlights ang foglights and the loss of light output was minimal. I can see perfectly fine at night, in rain ,and in fog. Also converting to HID fogs will produce alot better light output than the factory halogen bulbs no matter the color temperature. Before i converted my fogs to HID they were just on for show because I couldnt really tell whether they were on or not. After converting I have much better visibility at night and I can see alot more close up compared to factory. But just know the higher the color temperature, the lower the light output.

i never liked the yellow color for head/foglights, so my vote goes to the OEM factory color, maybe 6K

I am running 5k low beams and 3k fogs (all HID of course) in my '10 sedan. I'll try and get some pics tonight. I only use them in inclement weather and they help quite a bit over factory halogen.

From: Framingham Ma,
I have LED's. Color is very close to the head lights on my sedan and coupe. Love them. Got them from 180 Customs

I still find my stock halogen fogs on my G37 more useful than my 6000k HID fogs on my Mazda 3. White light on white fog & snow (blowing) just doesn't do much.

People bash those riced out Hondas for their non-functional aftermarket parts and I'm fine with that. However, those yellow fog lights are one of the very few functional aftermarket parts on those cars. They like those yellow fogs because they're JDM. It's humid in Asia and there's lots of rain & fog therefore it's popular there.
