Mine is doing the same thing. Instead of foam they used some silicone tar stuff to make the seal larger to press to the window. And... It still leaks! Seems more like a patch than a fix. My car didn't leak for 2 years and now it is. There has to be a solution for this. I didn't drive my car for several days and when I found it was leaking there was standing water on passenger side floor.

I was just looking at the car and I wonder if the problem is the rubber that is around the tweeter which actually presses against the rubber molding that runs the length of the door.
Because when its leaking it looks like water is under the bottom of the tweeter and it is coming out from there. Just a thought.

had the seal replaced and dealer said they fixed it. yeah looks like it. this was only a short time sitting out in the light rain and had not been driven. hey cnagy65 if they find a solution for your leak let me know and maybe i can point the dealership in the right direction!!! thanks

The dealer took off the a-pillar and they noticed that Safelite broke the clips and tried using adhesive to fix it. It was also missing a couple of screws that hold the drip rail in place. Also the replacement windshield had a dip in it.
I had to go back to safelite. They needed to order both a pillars and molding and all new clips, and I am making them replace the windshield also. Just waiting for the parts to come in.

I am hoping with all the new parts the leak will stop.

Well its been raining for a couple of days now and the car is not leaking.

Don't know if it was the new window or the new A-pillars and having all the screws holding the drip rail in.

Seems like I'm getting more noise now with the new window, (could also be coming from the rubber molding around the door, can't really tell and they didn't replace them.) or it could be just my imagination.

As long as the car is dry inside, thats the most important thing. Plus I don't think I want Safe-lite to touch it again.

I have a 2010 convertible and had leaks in the tweeter area pretty much from day one. Always just a little bit of water and I tried to convince myself that maybe it was just from the auto up-down that the windows do because mine is the drop top.

During my last service I finally asked the dealer to look into it.

My service advisor immediately said she had seen the issue before and that they knew how to resolve it. They replaced my seals in that area.

Haven't had enough rain here yet to know for sure that it's fixed but during the slight drizzle we had after the fix I (so far) have not seen any more leaks.

Well it leaked again in the pouring rain and it was very windy. Its not that bad this time. Not dripping down the door, Just water at the base of the tweeter where it meets the top of the door sill.
Brought it back to safelite, They tested for the leak and of course could not get it to leak (same as the dealer)

Safelite also taped up the front windshield to test for wind noise. No difference with noise between having the tape on or off.

Makes me think its not the front windshield causing the leak.

Obviously the dealer doesn't want to warranty it since the windshield was replaced and since they cant get it to leak either, I kinda understand where they are coming from.
I might try the window adjustment that Anh3 was talking about.
and then replace at least one side with new weatherstripping if that does not fix it.

Thanks for the update.

Sucks to hear you are still having problem with the window leaks. I did the window reset on mine and so far no more leaks. I used a pressure washer and sprayed it from all angles and could not get it to leak anymore.

Now onto the next problem. Crackling and marble sound from the driver side windshield cowl...

Good to hear the leak is gone. Hopefully adjusting the window will fix mine.
