what lights are these for? Personally for headlights I like 6 and foglights I like 8. Higher than 8 is too much blue for me.

6000k no higher. Unless you want unusable light (can't see) and to look like a punk kid that everyone normal laughs at.

Every brand varies a little bit on there advertised temperatures. The set I put in my other car was originally 6000k white/blue and i sent them back for 5000k pure crisp white with a tint of blue. Most OEM are 4300k, the most "usable" light.

id go no lower than 5000k and no higher than 8000k. 6000k is what i have and its as white as my iron man white leds. on the road you get no crappy yellow haze, everything is white. looks very upscale. 8000k lights look nice too but a bit blue for oncoming drivers. aside from that, they look pretty much as good as 6000k from the driver's perspective. 10000k is nice only on show cars. anything on the street with them looks ricey or just plain stupid. but thats just me

No, the high beam is has nothing to do with the bulb you use. Nothing physically happens to to bulb. Their is a shield inside the headlight that moves and reflects the light higher when you use your high beams. You can hear it moving when you hit the high beam switch.
