Add-on rear spolier no 3rd rear shelf brake light

Does anyone else have a dealer add-on spoiler and their 3rd brake light not working? Looks kind of stupid to have it not working like that. I saw a G35 that his rear spoiler and 3rd brake light was working.

What can I do about getting it work? Dealer told me they couldn't make it work. Should I take it to a professional G37 shop and get them to wire it back in? I want it done under warranty damnit. Lol

I had this happen to me. OEM add-on spoiler. I took it in to Infiniti and they said the brake light plug came undone, Hmmm. I bought it used so it would not suprise me. They plugged it back in and it works fine.

Not 100% sure what you are asking but MOST people that have the spoiler DON'T have the break light that's on the rear shelf, between the speakers connected after a spoiler install.

Just disconnect the shelf brake light and run power to the spoiler brake light from wiring harness. It's not really that difficult, and dealer should be able to do it. They were just giving you a story!

g37 with factory installed spoiler, instead of dealer installed, do not have that 3rd brake light on their rear shelf deck since their 3rd brake light is on the spoiler. most people that buy the rear spoilers separately usually end up disconnecting that 3rd brake light on the rear shelf. Even better if you have dark tint since people won't be able to see though it. Some even get that rear shelf replaced to one w/o the light. I guess it's a preference thing, but I think it looks silly with two 3rd brake lights (one on spoiler and one on rear shelf).

I was informed it was added after purchase. I do need to get it taking care of because it looks silly with the light there not working.

I am going to see again what dealer thinks about the situation. I really want that light on, because it does look silly. If they can't turn it back on, I may replace rear shelf. Either on and working, or out of sight. Lol

So your spoiler third brake light doesn't work or the one inside the rear glass?
Are you trying to have two third brake lights?
I had mine like that for a day, but unplugged the inside one because it looked silly.

Really ... dude, leave the rear shelf light off if the spoiler one is working. Have two 3rd brake lights looks sillier than the rear shelf one not working.

My G coupe is like this also haha was wondering why the deckshelf 3rd light wasn't working for couple days and I realized I had a 3rd brake light on my spoiler! Luckily I had them cover it with tint. Leave it unplugg looks cleaner or jus get the that deleted.

I went thru this with my Accord.....added spoiler which disables stock 3rd light. I bought some interior carpet material from Pep Boys, removed stock 3rd light and created a patch for the rear deck hole because there was no other parcel shelf avail.

Id do the same for the g, or buy the replacement parcel shelf if it bothers you that much
