v-leds.com D2S 6000k experience (quartz purple!?)

Doing a full V-LED.com LED/HID upgrade and have a question about the D2S replacement bulb in 6k they offer. They list it as "quartz purple" for 6000k and "crystal white" for 5000k. Since when is 6k purplish!? The color description doesnt seem to match the K. Shouldnt 6k be pure white with a hint of blue? I am going with 6k LEDs in the city light and want to be sure they match.

Any experience with this bulb? (AND YES I SEARCHED PLENTY!!! lol)

Maybe I should run the 5k D2S with the 6k LEDs for best match

While 6500K is supposed to be daylight and white, with LED's it appears that isn't the case. Many report that 5k is white but 6k has hint of blue. I always buy 5k as I too have experenced blue tint on 6K bulbs.

i think VLEDs may just tint the bulb a little to get the blue or purple at the 6K level that way they get the color people are looking for without sacrificing light output

I believe putting any color tint on the lightbulb actually does effect light output.
You are just blocking some of the useable light in the lower spectrum so the bulb "appear whiter"

Just go Philips D2S bulbs.
I don't know the exact name. Crystal blah blah something, that is 6000k
But Philips' bulbs are the quaility of OEM bulbs.
Our 4300k OEM bulbs are from Philips too. It's little pricey but save the trip from changing burnt out bulbs sooner with quaility bulbs.
