Xenon fog users: did you have to adjust after install?

Hey guys,

So I managed to finally get ONE of my fogs done in xenon, which was a total pain. Happy that I had gotten one done, I turn it on to test it...

And it's aimed ABOVE the low beam. Like, way above, high beam status. Did any of you have to re-aim or adjust your foglights after converting to xenon, or is there just something screwed up with my bulb/installation? I'm used a V-LEDs H1 kit, by the way. There's no flickering or anything, and the color is correct. It's just that the fog is aimed REALLY high and it's weirding me out. On my old BMW, when I converted the fogs to xenon, I didn't need to re-aim them.

Thanks,
M

can you take some pic's of your bulb. i'm thinking that you installed it wrong and the bulb isn't flushed. you may want to double check it and don't adjust it as it does not need adjustments when only changing bulbs.

That's what I was thinking, but the clip seems to be holding it in place flush, and it isn't crooked in the housing.

i adjusted the fogs down almost 20 deg. after an even adjustment, i turned on the fogs and sat in another car about 100 feet away and checked the glare.

So yours had to be adjusted significantly too, huh?

I think what would help is if I do the other side tomorrow. If the other side is at the same height, then it's probably just the nature of my particular bulbs.

can you see if the bulb's metal filament bar is facing the top or bottom? it should be on the bottom.

It's on the bottom. Trust me, I'm not that dumb.

Same. I'm pretty sure mine's seated. The metal clip was able to hook into place and everything, and it visually looks flush.

My fogs were pretty easy to install on the 1020 sedan. I didn't change the aim at all on purpose. I use them like driving lights. I have noticed that people liotering in the left lane tend to notice them and move over more often. I like it.
