I bought a used 2010 G37x a couple of weeks ago and really like this car. Driving with the headlights on, I noticed that the door "lock" button lights up, but the "unlock" button is dark. Also, the seat memory buttons "set" "1" and "2" do not light up either. Is this normal or should they illuminate.

Yes the unlock is dark, and if you are using the seat memory function, whichever one you have selected (1 or 2) should be illuminated. If you are not using either, they won't be illuminated obviously
