Changing city lights from the top

I just ordered some PIAA Xtreme White wedge bulbs 168/194 for the city lights.

I will try changing the city light bulbs from the top under the hood. I got long skinny arms and hands

I did search all the threads and read up on them regarding removing the air intake box. I would like to confirm that there is only one bolt holding the air intake box. I have to remove this bolt. Will also need to loosen the clamp.
Do I need to disconnect the MAF sensor from the air intake box?
Then I just need to pull up on it fairly hard to separate the air intake box?

Also, on the passenger side, how do I move the washer fluid reservoir neck out of the way? Is there a bolt or do I just pull up or twist?

Thanks.

Yes, you have the directions correct. You have to disconnect the wire going to the MAF sensor to get the box out. The passenger side is more difficult as there isnt as much space. I didn't have to take out the winshield washer spout. Good Luck.

Just to add to, I didn't have to take out the washer spout on my '10, but when I installed the lights in an '08, I had to remove the spout. Not really sure why, as I didn't think much of it, but worth noting I guess.

It's an easy enough task tho'. Both jobs were done in under 20 minutes.

Thanks rough and spartan for the reply.

Regarding disconnecting the battery - from all the searching and reading I've done so far you don't have to disconnect the battery.

No need to disconnect battery. It will only hurt as you lose your radio settings and such.

I just did my city lights. I put in PIAA Xtreme white bulbs. Took me about 40 minutes because I triple checked every steps to make sure I did not miss anything or break anything.

I took out the air intake box. Not a single scrapes and bruises.

I managed to get both bulbs swapped in about 10 minutes without even taking the intake boxes out. I just removed those bolts and pushed the boxes out of the way. However, I had changed the bulbs through the wheel well once already, so I knew exactly where my hand had to go. At no point during the process could I actually see what I was doing.

Yep, just take out the intake boxes. The washer spout simply pulls out once you undo the plastic pop rivet. Just make sure you twist the right tab on each headlight and you should be kosher. Just make sure you seat each bulb firmly and watch from the outside to make sure it's going in well. When I tried to change bulbs, I ended up knocking the LED off and it fell into the headlight housing. Of course, if I had just gone to Autozone and gotten a proper grabber tool instead of using a coathanger, that bulb would be out right now, instead of inside the inner workings of my headlight.

Long story short, take your time. It can't hurt.

Sorry no pics. Forgot to take pictures. However, search and you shall find several pictures of where the city lights are and FYI on how to take out the air intake.

It is snowing here so it is cold. Not gonna attempt this again...

I think he meant post a picture of the finished product. At least I'd like to see.
