Courtesy Light in Door Handles!

I am going to undertake a small project in an attempt to duplicate this on my white G convertible:

YouTube - CX7 w// Custom LED Door Handle Courtesy Lights version 2

I have already soldered and tested some LED's and Resistors for this. So far so good, just trying to find a color LED similar to the one shown in this video. I think its gonna look crazy nice.

Only thing now is to figure out where to wire them up so that they stay on with the headlights and have ability to turn them on and off.

Keep you all posted.

^ Depends on the buyer, lol.

But if it's a mod that he enjoys and wants to do, then let him do it.

Definitely keep us updated. Seems interesting.

Why would something like this depreciate value? Has an accident occurred?

^^ well just in perceived value. i read that when selling a car, it's better to have stock everything, even no tint. along those lines, adding LED lights would probably hurt more than help, but like blackjack said, i guess it depends on the buyer.

I don't think the average buyer would even notice a LED in the door handles as being modded. My Audi came with LED in the door handles and I barely notice it was there. i mean, i see it, but don't think it's anything out of the ordinary since it's so subtle.

I noticed them on the new BMW e92 M3. A nice touch for sure.

Subscribed.

May i suggest placing the led on the underside of the keyhole cover? Something like this? If it can even be done...

I am really intrigued by this mod.

How about buying the light module from BMW and trying to integrate it on our cars?

Surprisingly hadn't seen this before on any car..... coincidentally though this morning while arriving at work I parked next a new 3 series that had this.... looks really nice if done right.
