Debadged my G37 Today

So this is my first post so it might not be the most interesting but it is a start. I decided I was going to Debadge my G37 as I really like the clean look. I had been reading up on hear about some people using a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive before trying to remove the badges. However I found that a couple minutes (literally like 3 minutes) in the sun (only like 70* F today) was enough to make the adhesive easy to work with. All I had to do was take some dental floss (Mint flavored, this is very important ) and work it behind the badges to separate the badge from the adhesive. the adhesive was basically a type of foam tape and it came off super easy all I had to do was roll it up with my thumb. Super Simple! then I used a little bit of Goop-Off and went ahead and waxed the section of the trunk for a nice finish. Some people complain of ghosting but I'm not seeing any after I waxed.

My friend did the same exact method but only used his hands and ****ed up my black car. I was so ****ing pissed.. I brought it to a detailer at Krazy House Customs and he fixed everything for me so I was happy once again...

... Yea.. I didn't know though that he would **** it up so bad cause he did it to his G35x and looked pretty good. He gave my trunk some scratches along with the ****ty job he did. John fixed it though thankfully or else that SOB woulda been painting my trunk..free

Technically.. it was very stupid letting him do it if you saw the results, lol. I have pictures I'll post them up later so you can see for yourself. Oh BTW, your car looks nice, exactly what I did.

I live in the Pacific Northwest aka Seattle it rarely gets above 85*F here and when it does the city freaks out. I grew up in the Midwest with 100*F and 100% humidity, this is nothing Yea mine is less than 4 weeks old she's a baby!

I did too. I did it on other cars as well so not a big deal. I did have some light ghosting even after a clay & wax. The sun will have to fade the paint a little. I can barley see the outline so I'm sure no one not looking for it would notice.
