Autokits diffuser + Tanabe's = FAIL??

Hey guys.

Just had the time to install my cf Autokits diffuser yesterday. Looks good and all but my passenger side exhaust sits a tad higher than the drivers side. It's about 3-4 mm from touching the cf diffuser. The heat from the passenger side exhaust has already started to burn the diffuser. I've been stepping on the exhaust to push it down but no luck.

What do I do?

Hmm, maybe you can add some washers to the exhaust hanger on the passenger side to have the mufflers/tips lowered a little? I'm not sure if this would work cause I'm not an expert at this, maybe other people can help you out.

You can adjust the tips. Heat the exhaust hanger on the top of the muffler with a torch. When it's hot and soft, adjust it a little higher (away from the body of the muffler) so it sits slightly lower. Be careful not to heat it too much and cut through the hanger or you'll have to weld a new one back on. Also don't adjust it too much or it will sit too low and be uneven.

Same with my Fast Int Catback ! Not the diffuser but my exhaust sits slightly higher on tight tip causing it to touch diffuser and melting it where heat shield is at, hate the headache so I just took it off .

Guys, let's not make this into which diffuser is better. I'm sure your SE diffuser is pimp. I never said the fitment on the Autokits is off. That is not the case. It's my exhaust, the passenger side is a few mm's higher. Not as obvious before but it is now. Anyways, I kept stepping on the exhausts and putting my weight on it, looks like its working. I'll see if I can bend the exhaust hanger a little tomorrow.
