Autokits diffuser + Tanabe's = FAIL??
Hey guys.
Just had the time to install my cf Autokits diffuser yesterday. Looks good and all but my passenger side exhaust sits a tad higher than the drivers side. It's about 3-4 mm from touching the cf diffuser. The heat from the passenger side exhaust has already started to burn the diffuser. I've been stepping on the exhaust to push it down but no luck. What do I do? |

Hmm, maybe you can add some washers to the exhaust hanger on the passenger side to have the mufflers/tips lowered a little? I'm not sure if this would work cause I'm not an expert at this, maybe other people can help you out.

You can adjust the tips. Heat the exhaust hanger on the top of the muffler with a torch. When it's hot and soft, adjust it a little higher (away from the body of the muffler) so it sits slightly lower. Be careful not to heat it too much and cut through the hanger or you'll have to weld a new one back on. Also don't adjust it too much or it will sit too low and be uneven.

Yup i failed my tanabes hit the top of my autokits-x diffuser and now the paint is chipping from the heat
I have to take it to an exhaust shop to lower it with the hangers but im way too slammed for any regular shop to deal with me. |
Same with my Fast Int Catback ! Not the diffuser but my exhaust sits slightly higher on tight tip causing it to touch diffuser and melting it where heat shield is at, hate the headache so I just took it off .

That sucks. Did not have this problem with SE Diffuser. Just sayin.
