What type of tint did you use??
Yea i heard the same thing about the metallic and interference with antenna/nav. The place told me that they can do a "stained" tint on the back window to avoid that.. not sure i like that idea..
I am thinking i might go the 2x $$ route and just get the carbon done... 20% windows and possibly windshield also.. still have to think about that one..
Thanks DEEPFLIP for the pics, very helpful!

Metallic tints will NOT interfere with your nav or cell phone. There is a small chance that it could interfer with AM reception, but the higher frequencies of FM, satellite (nav), and cell hones are all uneffected.
Solar gard tint is great! I couldn't be happier with mine. By far the best tint I have had to date. I was afraid that it'd be too flashy or mirror like. My pictures don't really do it justice (see my thread here).
Most people don't think it's really a metallic tint at first because it is actually very subtle. The only time it definitely shows itself as a metallic tint is when they sun is bouncing directly off the window to the viewer (which I tried to capture this in my many pictures). So it's a real suble look that looks great (and it's something different from the people who go for the "give me a ticket cause you can't see me" look). Best of all, it reflects the suns rays and made my car quite noticably cooler than regular carbon tint is able to do.
This all means that I didn't have to get illegal levels of tint to acheive even better results...IMO.
As for Solar Gard itself, it's a great tint that I've had for almost a year and has shown no signs of wear, discoloring, bubbles, etc. And their warranty also helped sway me too.

Hello BlackJack nice tints, so you have 35% ceramic Formula One Pinnacle Tint? It looks very classy and elegant, it is like flat black with gray color inside, or whats the real color, if you dont mind me asking? What's the difference with the picture here posted with the White G with 35% carbon, looks kinda the same. I got quoted today $160 for johnson tint, is that not quality? Last but not least can somebody tell me where to get Formula one Pinnacle tint in Jersey or NY? ? ? ? ? ? and how much is the cost BlackJack for the tints you have?
Different type of tints also have different benefits and looks for your car. I was also asking the same question when I had my car tinted. I was undecided on what type of tint to put on my car at first, luckily, I found http://www.TintBuyer.com. They gave me infos on the types of tints, provided quotations and helped locate the best tint installer near my place.
I have 35% 3m non-metallic all around. I think I paid around 200 bucks for it installed. Came with a warranty so if I move, I can go to any 3m installer and have it fixed under warranty.
Just made an appointment for next Saturday .... the guy talked me into Carbon vs the Color Stable (same lifetime warranty, price, etc). Did I make a mistake?
Basically he said the Carbon has a tan hue and apposed to blueish (they all look gray/smoke to me). My G is Slate Blue with Black interior, he insured me the Carbon would look good. Thoughts from the experts?

I've used these guys three other times, they do a great job so I'm not concerned about the quality of work.
