License Plate License wont go on

I dont understand why my license plate lights do not go on. So far they are the original bulbs. I tried ever light combination on the steering wheel switch and it dont think it goes on.

you're talking about the lights on the rear license plate? they should turn on with ANY combo of the lights being on, so basically if the **** is turned to anything but OFF (and auto during daytime) then they should be on

"So far they are the original bulbs" By this I assume you mean you haven't touched them. Do you have a volt meter? If so check for 12volts at the socket, use the ohm portion to check if the bulb is out. You can test with the trunk bulb, same type.

If you have put LED's in, they are particular about polarity, switch it around.

check the bulbs, maybe burnt out.
Otherwise, bring it to the dealer.

Try the fuse .... use your same multimeter (ohms) to check for continuity through the fuse.
