BMW LED Glow

I am trying to attain the BMW License Plate glow on my G37 Coupe...has anyone been able to find LEDs that offer similar light output?

2008G-Man: Thanks for the heads up, but I have already gone through pretty much every LED thread here and the images that have been posted are either brighter or darker than the BMWs.

This pics posted don't often represent reality. It's tough to take a picture in the dark to show illumination. Just buy the BMW one, I'm sure it will be big bucks but you know you will get exactly what they use. Mike have to go to a BMW forum and poke around.

I was looking for the same sorta LED lighting effect on my sedan similar to the ones on BMWs and Lexus's. I personally liked how the LEDs lit up on my dad's Lexus. I tried to see if it was possible to swap out the bulb from my dad's LS460. However, they were not compatible/interchangeable. It's hard to explain but the license plate light on the lexus is not setup where you just replace a bulb, simple plug & play like the G's.

+1 on the Lexus license plate lights. Our should have been like that from the factory...

But superbrightleds.com has 2 kinds of white. Warm white and cool white.

The warm white may be the one you're looking for.

I did V-LED's 5K 5 LED light for license ...looks great, nice and white. I just did the back-up lights and factory ambient lighting today. Tried to do parking and fog but gave up on trying to gain access. Well try again sometime.

Just installed Halo Automotive Super White LEDs into my license plate lights, based on a recommendation from someone here. Looks identical to Lexus' leds. Not overly bright or blue...very white. Nice and refined...not ricey whatsoever.
