lots of people have their windows way darker then what is allowed with their state law. I have 35% 3M carbon tint.
Just my opinion, I dont like tint any darker then 35%. I think it starts taking away from the classy look of the vehicle and gives it more of a ghetto look. All depends what you are going for though...
+1 i agree with u.
i got 35% thru out the hole car looks great not to dark or to light. police wont mess with u with 35%
Hate to break it to you but the legal limit in the Commonwealth of Virginia is 50% driver and passenger windows, 35% rear windows. Virginia Window Tint Law - TintCenter.com
looks like i was misinformed lol. but regardless most of the time they wont even write it up. thats not to say there are no exceptions
I got 15% all around. There is no real laws about tint here in New Mexico. I heard someone say 20% is the law. I have never had any cop say anything about my tint.

As shown below, the law is 20% for sides and back in New Mexico. So if you have 15% it could be a matter of time until you get caught.
Cops don't care about tint laws here in NM. I have talked to many and no one said a thing about my tint. There are tons of cars running around with 5%.
the more important problem for me is to pass inspection. if you put a darker tint on your car and it was illegal and you go to get an inspection sticker here you will get rejected and i did not want to deal with that. anyone agree?
the people who have to get inspection stickers in their state do they really check the window tint percentages if they think its to dark to pass a inspection?
you wanna do 35 all around including the windshiel.I may do a memorial of 9/11 living in ny.I just found out one of the fireman that passed on 9/11was a neighbor.maybe no windhsield,as kenny says it's a pia.
Putting aside that 35% on the front windshield is probably illegal in all fifty states, I’m really concerned that any driver with that much windshield tint is virtually blind at night and are on their way to a disaster.
