ive been reading around the forum and ive noticed quite a few people are annoying at how our lower vent are "fake" well has any one tried doing like this?

we could get this and paint/powerdoat it in black and it might even look good in chrome or stainless on some of the darker cars, personally i have an IP so i would be turning it black. just my attempt at a somewhat simple fix to a common pet peeve.
any thoughts?

 

Good find. It may help some1. I've got an IP as well and I'm personally moving away from all the chrome pieces on there.

 

IMO this is super rice, but to each his own

And correct me if I'm wrong...but I dont think this would fix the fake part of the lower vents in any way...

 

how would it be rice if you painted them black? it would be subtle enough not to even notice.
and by fake i meant that the oem ones dont even have holes throught them. and these do. these are a stainless steel wire mesh pattern which would allow air to pass through

if they were painted matte black i dont even see how you could tell the difference. do you guys really think its that rice? seemed like a good idea to me.

 

You would need to do something with your grille, have you thought of the Autokits Ryou, bc that would match
