I think metal mesh like that with huge holes, even if painted matte black, would look really out of place on the front of this car. Does this mount in front of the plastic piece that's already there or replace it? Either way I think it will look tacky. Just my opinion.

You and those virgin geeks have way too much time on your hands.

I have a "donation" I can make for you and we'll see if you can make a practical application of that technique. Let me know when you're ready for it.

Really would like to see someone step up and create a real MOD for this.

I already imagined this would be 2 new wheel wells with the tubing attached that connects up near the 2 fake air vents. You would then remove the vents and also re-locate washer fluid or just get rid of it lol! Could replace vent covers with duplicates of original but like the center bottom grill cut out mesh.

Yes it would cool down brakes! That's a functional MOD we all can use.
I cant remember but is there anything else down there in the way?

..Apparently there has already been complaints of warped rotors.

these rotors are not drilled nor slotted so at the minimum could use some cooling...

This would be a more functional/aesthetic mod than any CF hood, trunk, splitter etc imo.

Or even just remove the fake mesh design and make fog-light housing kits?

The photo of the G with the fake inserts photoshopped looks horrible.

A company should really release a fog light kit that replaces the faux vents... IS ANYONE LISTENINGG???!! By now I would have thought that surely someone would have produced such a kit. It would be so simple to install if someone did it right...

I know man, I didn't necessarily mean this exact mesh grill, or even a mesh grill in general. What I meant by this thread is to replace the solid fake vent with something, anything, that actually has openings to let air through and can somewhat be functional.

ahh, I see.

I remember someone removing those. He had to paint the windshield washer reservoir black.

However, I'm all for something like these...

By far the ugliest part of the car... I've been putting up with this lousy design for 2.5 years now...I'm on the verge of just kicking them into the face!

Z guys did this a while ago. Used the 'fangs' as air ducts routed to stock airbox.
