Are your kick plates blue or silver?

My 09 G37 Sedan has the standard aluminum kick plates in the door sills. The odd thing is they are kind of bluish instead of silver. Did the dealer forget to take the protective plastic off or are they supposed to look like this? I tried to peel up some blue plastic with my fingernail and it seems like it could come off but I'm not sure it's supposed to?

They should be silver probably a protective plastic. Just peel it off, or if you want to leave it on. Might look kinda cool.

The blue is just protective plastic. It peels right off.
