Bluebat GT-R overlay DOA? Please help

Hi all,

So I just got my Bluebat's GT-R rearlight overlays today. However, I need help to decide whether or not it is in good shape for installation. The local shop here wanted around $50 to put it on so I wouldn't want them to do it and have creases on the overlays. Anyhow, the overlays came in a paper envelope and I can see the creases throughout the overlays.

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Wicked CHEEEEESY shipping envelope!! WTF??? Especially when UPS will provide free hard envelopes, and a bunch of different small shipping boxes for stuff like that. Who did you buy them from? Seeing as I'm an 18 Year UPS driver, I could put them in contact with a UPS Sales Rep and get them set-up with an account and free shipping supplies...let me know

That is how bat ships all his overlay to save cost. Also its a overlay, Its not going to get damage in a envelope. They quality is good and nothing is wrong with it. Mine came like that too but as soon as I applied water to it. It straighten out

Did your overlay have multiple creases in it ? I just want to make sure as the cost of the installation is more than the overlay itself.

Thanks

Yup. I just read the instructions and put the overlay in warm soapy water then apply it with a CC. I mean if your shop knows what he is doing then he should be able to do it

I've been shipping this way for years now. Usually, when applying the overlay, any creases will disappear when applying heat as mentioned above. I stand behind my product as you all know. If you have any issues, please shoot me an email .

Yep mine came for my sedan the same way. All 3 sets and they all straightened out just fine. My only problem was the way I was trying to install them.

Hence using soap and water when applying the overlays to help position them. Once you are satisfied with the positioning, simply working the water and soap out with a credit card wrapped in soft cloth or squeegy .
