OEM spoiler install at the dealer - any firsthand experiences?

Hi all,

I have searched and found a few threads about this, but wanted to specifically elicit some responses for owners that have had it done. My questions are:

1) Did the dealer also replace the rear shelf of your vehicle with one that does not have the brake light? Did it introduce any creaks/rattles back there?

2) How did the results turn out when comparing it to a car with spoiler installed from the factory?

Thanks in advance for any replies

edit: sorry for posting in wrong forum. For reference I am referring to a G37 coupe.

My dealer did not replace the rear shelf.

And it looks really good...havent compared it to spoiler installed from factory though.

The third brake light thing looks kinda cheesy when lit up...but not too bad when it's not.

New York state law... we cannot delete any extra brake lights that come from the factory... we can add more like the OEM spoiler and install the third brake light...

The results should be the same. However, if you want the shelf light delete, you'll have to buy one and have that swapped too.

Cheapest way to get the spoiler is to have it on the car from the factory, but I'm guessing this is after the fact.

My 09 G37X came with the rear spoiler from the factory, (or so it states on the original window sticker) and the shelf has the third brake light (which I do NOT like) but the brake light does not light up ( on the shelf) as it is disconnected. Don't like the third brake light on the shelf as it makes it almost impossible to clean the rear glass especially if there is a film on the glass in front of the brake light. Taking the rear shelf out is not a very easy task either.
