Had some painting done to Her car. (pics)

The girl that lives with me (Her) has wanted the top painted black since she bought the car (it's Her car). I decided to prep the car and remove everything I could because that's what I do. Well, the car is done and we just got it back. It's been raining for two days straight so we picked up the car between storms. I got it back together and cleaned it up the best I could and took some pictures in the garage.

I removed the suck azz overlay and had the rear valence painted matte black. I also replaced the license plate frame with a black one (not pictured).

I have to take that air foil off now and have it painted too. Should have thought about that one before.

A couple more things marked off the list. Wheels, headlights and grill to go.

Looks great. I like the red/black and the white/black combos several people have done. Breaks it up some. I am all black already, but did paint my front lower grill pieces and like that a lot. They always looked dirty gray before I painted them.

Awesome!

The first 6 words had me lol, hahaha.

Btw, how do you remove the antenna? Is there a way to just remove the cover?

The cover will come off. A couple guys on here told me as much but the rubber gasket is still on there then. That rubber has to come off for paint. I tried getting just the cover off but since I didn't know how it was held on I ended up giving up. Even after I had the antenna out, I had to use three screwdrivers to get the clips to all release at once. There are five clips.

Yeah, I've been calling Her that for six years now. Good thing she has a sinse of humor.

We fully planned on pulling the windshield out but ended up not having to. That would have been thorough. We did pull the rear bumper to do the lower valence too.

I do not know the answer to the antenna question. I've never seen the sedan antenna. I assume they must be different?

Yes, that is the GReddy exhaust. I think it kicks azz! (For my purpose at least.) The car belongs to Her. She didn't want anything too loud and I don't like anything stock. I really wasn't too happy at first because I thought it was too quiet. Then I had Her drive by me while I sat off to the side of the road. It sounds really good. It's pretty loud and aggressive at WOT but inside the car it is very mild. Kind of the best of both worlds if you ask me. I'd still like to try the exhaust depot y-pipe in the future. And if I can get my hands on a used set of HFC's I'd like to try those as well. If the cats cause too much rasp I'll just turn around and sell them again, that's why I'd like to find them used.

Cool, I just got back from installing my Greddy SE on my sedan. My opinions are exactly like yours. By the way the blue came off the tips. Unfortunately so did the logo, o`well no biggie.
