wow, good job kevin. i'm sure that treatment would look good on a white G as well. where's your car though?
That's a good question. My garage is full. I need more garage to buy more cars. There are two sitting outside the garage but nothing of interest. I have an 87 Mustang GT in my parents back garage, does that count? She has told me no less than three times now that I should get a new Camaro... I'm really eyeing the new CTS-V Coupe that comes out next year... More than anything, I want to build an older muscle car with a boosted LSX. Something like an 87 Monte Carlo or a 70-73 Camaro split bumper or a 70 Chevelle. I haven't done a Chevy yet... I think I need to knock off a bank.
What kind of paint did you use for the lower grill pieces?
Same as the roof. Black with a gloss clear. Automotive paint from my paint and body shop, I had them do it.
If you do it yourself, you could always rattle can it with some plastic prep, color, and clear. If you wanted to step it up a notch, you could get your paint custom made at an automotive paint store and spray it with a paint gun. There are usually a few more steps involved though, like primer, a catalist, a reducing agent... I go to Car Quest for all these supplies. They also have this cool little aerosol sprayer if you're only doing a small amount.
The stray girl that seems to keep coming around often, also wants a lot done to either her g37s or her bike...
i fed her once, and now she keeps coming to the front door... LOL
