Clearing Up some Lights

Ok, i just want to clear up some light specs problems

Fog Lights: they are shown as H1 but i can't really change an HID bulb from
H1 because stock are halogens right?

Reverse Lights: V-LED <-- these lights are the brightest for the reverse lights?

Parking Lights (DRLs): V-LED <-- These are the strongest LED for my parking lights? and they are just plug and play?

I dont think either one of those bulbs will fit. theyre massive.

Just get like a 12 led bulb for reverse and a 5 or 6 led for the DRL

The fog is an H1 halogen, if you wanna put HID you have to get a full H1 HID conversion kit.

nogoodname's D.I.Y suggests that the HID WHITE 19 M-SMT 8W will fit the reverse light, can anyone confirm that or would it be like stoof said, too big?

I guess for DRL, V-LED will be better?

These are the bulbs i have in my reverse lights.

2pcs 168 194 Wide Angle 12 LED (Xenon White) Wedge Bulb:eBay Motors (item 200389740812 end time Oct-07-09 2353 PDT)

Honestly though theyre not that bright, you wont get more light output from an LED bulb than a halogen.

if you want LEGIT fog lights, talk with Andy @ HPAutoworks and get the 6000K fog HID kit. They're having a sale now and they have the best products you'll find. The 6000K is PURE WHITE, which sounds like what you're looking for.

I don't know of any HID fog light kits that are just Plug and play (only bulbs), PM either Andy @ HPA or Lou @ Amplified and ask them, but from what I understand is if you put HID bulbs in the H1 housings, then you'll get flickering and other problems. Either way, 6000K is the color temp you'll want for pure white

Just a word of caution buying bulbs and stuff from eBay...if you get cheap stuff and no name equipment, 99.9% of the time you'll get exactly what you pay for it. Find the product you want and buy a quality product or more times than not you'll be back under the car replacing it very very soon.

Although i do agree with you. You can think of it like this. You can buy a cheap set for 8 bucks or a quality set for say, 40. If you have to replace the cheap set even 4 times, which prolly wont happen, youre ahead of the game.
