Interior Accent Lighting installed, pics.

Finally got around to install these interior accent LEDs. Install was easy but took a bit longer than expected. Probably because I kept stopping to take pics, LOL. The look good but shine far up front, like tips of your toes. Going to try and turn them the other direction as see which I prefer.

Drivers side panels removed.

Passenger side panels removed.

Another angle of the drivers side.

Another angle of the passengers side.

Drivers side hole drilled.

OK, so I turned the LEDs (which are directional) the other way thinking that they'd look better and be more noticeable on the floor. Big fail. They no longer shine at the carpet but hid the front of the seat on the thigh extension of my Sport Seats. I will get under there and twist them back tomorrow. My neighbors think I'm weird for how much time I spend in the garage messing w/ my car, LOL.

I like mine, they look great. I went with the OEM kit because I knew just buying some LEDs and wires would be too bright and/or not match the LED that's already next to the map lights. Install took a little longer than I expected as well, but most likely due to taking my time and trying to not break anything.

I was told that the Infiniti accessory accent lighting is junk. I'm going to have a local shop install something better.

I wouldn't by any means say they were junk, just that w/ the 180 degree beam pattern pointed forward (according to the directions) that not enough light is directed at the floor. It's more directed at your toes. Quality of the kit is great and it is plug and play, not tapping or splicing. Only this I wish was different was the beam pattern should have been 360 degrees.

That's why they call it "Accent Lighting", not "Floor Illunination". It just supposed to put a nice glow on the floor board, not light up the whole thing so you can conduct a Search & Rescue Mission in the front seats. I think it's the perfect amount of light. Puts that nice glow on the floor that isn't too bright, but bright enough to add that little something extra to the interior at night.
