Opinions on Estimate for Front Bumper Damage/Replacement

hey folks,

my garage door sensor was broken and was about to come down on my hood, so i backed up sharply. in doing so, i crunched two places of my front bumper: 1) right underneath the right headlamp and 2) the bottom part of the bumper right under the fake air vent. sucks, but it happened, so now i move onto repair.

i got an estimate for $738 from my local auto body repair and that covers: Infiniti factory bumper, Infiniti factory bracket, and labor. because i dont want to go through my insurance company and because it was by myself, i think i am going to go through the body shop without reporting.

any thoughts? has anyone experienced anything similar? thanks, take it easy.

If that includes a NEW bumper and paint as well as labor then yes that is a very good price.

He said he's not going through insurance.

That sounds like a good deal. Now get that garage opener some new sensors.
