How to upgrade my fogs?

I want to make the current fog lights on the G brighter. I want the color to stay close to stock, not too yellow and not too white/blue.

Should I just upgrade the fog bulbs to something like the PIAA Extreme White Plus or get a 5000K HID kit from HIDExtra ?

if you're looking for brighter, hpa's 3000k hid kit is a good buy. going to higher than 2500-3000k will actually lower your light output.

How is the kit form the other sponser HIDExtra? It seems a little easier to install....and it's cheaper.

i thought lumen output increases up to 5000k, and yes, the only way to get brighter fogs is to go with an aftermarket real hid.

edit: 4000k-4300k give highest lumen output.

my lights when i had sylvania silverstars 4300k. i think silverstar ultras are even whiter. a lot of the color change also came along with changing the citylight to an led.

they helped a little as far as throwing some more light on the road.

I am looking for my fogs to supplement my headlights rather than act as pure fog lights. Don't get much fog in NJ so I just use my fogs to make my way brighter. What would the best setup be for that?

ya you're correct speed - 4300k will be the highest lumens output. however, the best color for fogs to work as actual fogs is yellow so you want to stick around 2500-3000k. if you're just trying to match your headlights then some 6000k or so bulbs would work.

I use my fogs as driving lights daily, never turn them off. I simply swapped out the OEM ones for yellow bulbs (PIAA 2500K yellow). It makes a big difference IMO.

Would PIAA's be close to the HID sets or should I not bother with the PIAA's?

Hey Neighbor, I agree that the HID conversion kit is the best way to go. However, I did not want to do that so I ordered PIAA Xtreme Force 4700K H1s from www.cargym.com I am waiting for them to arrive. I was told by a friend that the import PIAAs are much better than the domestic ones.
