^^ LOL ohhhh I just noticed this is in the convertible section. Normally I just click new posts and don't notice what section I'm in. Yes, that antenna is an eye sore.
It is for AM/FM. If you are smart, you but the OEM rear spoiler that has the antenna integrated into it. The spoiler looks better anyways and you will not have an antenna on the trunk.
If you get the OEM spoiler, it has the AM/FM antenna built in. They do relocate the XM antenna from the roof to the trunk, but it is color matched and doesnt look bad.
It is stupid that they still use aerials at all. Nissan already had a fix for this years ago. My 89 GT-R had it integrated into the windshield. I'm pretty sure the convertible still has a windshield!
But they did take care of the problem. They put it in the OEM spoiler. The only people who get the ugly antenna are people who do not buy the OEM spoiler.
It isn't standard and not everyone wants a spoiler...
Yeah my antenna wrapped around the outside edge of the window on the passenger side and then came down the middle. It was very thin and hardly noticeable.
