Going for Red seats!!

Hi guys,

i decided i had enough with my black leather in my ivory pearl. i'm going with dark red
found a very profisional shop here in kuwait and he gave me the prices.

natural leather 1,388 $
artificial leather 590 $

" only seats and that little part from the doors"

so the question is , whats the diffirence between the natural and artificial? cons and pros?

btw, both material are high quality and imported from germany.

thanks

Does he have sample pieces you can feel? I would assume that the natural leather would last longer and resist cracking and stuff more-so than the fake one.

its not about fake or real , mercedes still sell thier cars using artificial leather.
what i know so far is that the artificial becomes real hot under the sun , but its easy to clean , the natural is the oppesite but also it can get scratched and stained easily and its hard to clean.

mmmmmmmm duno :s

^^ as do 'low end' BMW's. Gotta say though that the fake stuff is pretty convincing. Its like a fake Rolex all but impossile to tell apart (if this is the quality fake stuff)

Yeah there are very few cars that have reall leather, although the King Ranch leather in my truck still looks like new with no wrinkles whatsoever

I've had couple of BMWs and they all had the artificial leather. I was very happy with it. No heavy wrinkles, no blemishes, no bubbles, and lasted very long. It never fell apart.

I've seen some ugly wear on natural leather. It depends on how heavy you use it tho.

Artificial tends to last longer, less wrinkles, etc than real leather...At least the high end stuff (personal experience w/ the kind they use in Mercedes). I'd ask them for a sample. They're almost impossible to tell apart.

Go with the artificial. You can install it. Trash it out---and re-install,---and you'll have money left over.
