I called the dealership today and the tech guy said that for the 6MT it just unscrews but for the AT its a bit harder b/c there is a pin that holds it in.

Well. i used two wrenches.. one to hold the shaft and another to hold the ****. I used two peices of radiator hose.. but that kept slipping. It pissed me off.. so i was like screw it, and took a monkey wrench to the ****.. LOL.
The new **** is FANTASTIC though, 10/10. I LOVE the way the shifter feels now.. would i do it again? hell yes.
I had that same tt **** on my G35 and I destroyed the oem one removing it. I still have the tt **** in my garage but I just am not ready to destroy this oem one too.
