Bumping a very old thread. I just received a pair of 6000K Philips Untinon D2S form a "very reputable" eBay vendor. Surprise! As soon as I opened the package I could tell they were fakes before even taking them out of the box. Typical "white box" garbage. I knew the price was too low, that's what I get for being cheap when I know better. I can't believe I wasted my time on it, but I did. Needless to say I'm sending them back.
Anyway I found this thread and ordered them from Xenon Depot, now at #1 Reseller of HID Conversion Kits and HID Kits since 2001!. I'm only bumping the thread to inform others looking for them that the coupon (MY37) for $50 off of a pair still worked for me as of a few minutes ago. So withe the discount and free shipping they are $169.98 for a PAIR. I'll up date this when I actually get them in to inspect them.

ok I'l bite, as someone who just ordered a set of 6k and received some white-boxed D2C's (maxlux))- how can I tell if they are ok? I understand you are talking about fake ultinons, but I'm wondering for $35/pair, what might I see go wrong here?

I never bought any headlights from VLEDs so I can't say how they'd compare. If you want more output, get 4300K instead of 6000K and deal with the yellowed color but enjoy tgr increased usable light output.
A $35 pair might give you good use for a long time. Ultinons are some of the best available (IMO at least) and are known for their quality. They will put out a very nice color and last a long time.
And our car uses D2S.

Any idea what are stock from the factory on the HID or is it the 'supplier of the week' kind of thing?
