What clips are you talking about for what housing?
See the last picture? there are tabs without holes? I will drill through so the backing attaches to the main housing and be able to be detached when needed.
I have tapped into the city lights and the fog lights and ran the wires down to be plugged into the wires on the back of the vent.
It looks good but the mesh looks fawked up lol. You shouldn't have cut the mesh at the edge like that, should have bent the edge inwards, would look a lot cleaner.

I can still bend the edges inward, but the thing about this aluminum mesh is that as soon as you bend it near 90degrees, it snaps! so I needed to just get it to cover the front. Also, once it is on the car the mesh will line up with the outer edge of the vent area flush and no one will notice except people from this forum

I agree.
Good job so far though. Can't wait to see final pics.
Here is one on the car with city on and fog and city on:
Im going to remove the mesh completly, which may actually clean it up a bit. Otherwise the mesh does not sit flush against anything and looks crappy. Without the mesh, howerver, you will be able to see the back of the vent where the two 3" holes are with the tubes, which may look cool.
I havent made the otherside yet. I had to drill out that light you see in the picture and re-rivit it because that is actually pointing to the right of the car and not straight on. So this was another teaser until I get my lazy *** back to making the thing.
