Projectors weird alignment ?

Just notice something last night, when I was parking infront of a wall

The reflection of my HIDs aren't symmetrical? Is this an alignment thing?

that should be correct. the reason that it's higher on the right is to help shine street signs, etc... and lower on the left so you don't blind oncoming traffic.

Oh, really? But why are there 3 "steps"? If it's 2 steps I can understand because there are 2 headlights...

the center step is the highside of the left and lowside of the right overlapping.

That is called a cutoff. From stock it's pretty fuzzy, but the purpose is to have more light on your lane and less on the oncoming lane.

If you do a colormod the output will resemble this.

funny - I was going to ask the dealer to re-align my headlights when I take mine in for service. Then I ran across this thread! My right light is definitely higher than the left - hadn't noticed the 3 steps but will check.

To adjust you just need a long Philips (+) screw driver to turn the adjuster in the rear of the headlight reachable from the engine bay.

Drool at that color mod. Would have loved it if our G's came like that stock.
