Question for IP owners

After a few months, if you look very closely, does your paint develop tiny rust specs? Also, does your rear bumper turn black around the exhaust tips? I'm asking because I've owned white cars in the past and always had these problems. The first one can be addressed with frequent detailing obviously. I was on my way into work this morning and there was a new white Audi TT in front of me. Its rear bumper was stained from the exhaust whereas the rest of the car was clean. So just wondering. I think cars stand out more and look more elegant in white.

i've had not discoloration from exhaust tips. i've had specs show up on the pain, but like you said, it's easily revomed with a clay bar.

I don't think it's rust but rather environmental crap... anyway, put a quality clay bar to the paint and it will make easy work of the problem. I have had this issue on my last white car, a BMW 328i, and clayed it every spring and it was as good as new.

So then it's safe to say that all color paints get it. It's just more visible on white paint for obvious reasons.

The larger yellowish spots are bee pollen down here in FLA. Bees are attracted to white cars because of the color looking like flowers. Tough to get off! Tiny specs are probably pollution/metal /rust that will come right off with a clay bar. I've had 5 white cars in a row and all had the problems, especially the pollen.

Thats crazy. i always have those on my car and i'm always wondering what the hell the are Especially because my car rarely sits outside. The other little ones are road deposits from driving, oil, fuel and such sticking to the paint. that and the dirty tip area is normal on all cars. If you think your darker car is not effected go wash your car and then scrape with your nail and you will see your car gets it too
