window opens when door opens....?

I don't know if my G is supposed to do this but everytime I open the door the driver side window goes down a little, then when I close the door it goes back up... is this normal? I'm thinking about taking it to the dealer for that, plus they owe me a FREE detail since my car arrived with scratches and plus the rubber gasket on around my sunroof overlapped and is twisted.

It's designed to provide a better seal when the door closes because the windows don't have a frame.

It is because the car has frameless door windows -- like a convertible.

The windows are tucking into the door seal on the A-frame of the car when you close the door. Some cars just have the glass smash up against a seal on that part, our cars just have a slightly better (if not a little more failure-sensitive) solution.

This way is easier on the glass, provides a better seal, and is harder for thieves to pry open than the mustang-style glass-smashes-the-pillar-seal way.

if the window rolls completely down then that means the battery is about dead

Yea, push the ignition button twice without pressing the clutch in... Your car should be in the "on" position... Should be able to roll'em up... Push it one more time to turn it to the "off" position (again, w/o pushing in the clutch)...

some salesman you got. sunroof is seperate from the windows. so it won't close/open w/ the key in the door if you use it that way.
