Illuminated kickplate scratches?!?

All,

I tried to search for a fix, but nothing came up...

This morning I noticed that the illuminated kickplate on the passenger side has what seems to be a faint, but thick scratch on it (right on the clear part where the letters are). Strange because the passenger seat has only been used twice since the car is almost new...and I don;t remember anyone's shoe making that mark.

Has anyone had any of these and a way to remove them? I'm tempted to use ScratchX but I'm going to wait to see what some of you have to say.

Thanks!

Cool....I have a plastic polisher from Zaino's Z-14...would that work as well? I also have ScratchX which I guess you don't recommend?

Yay! Z-14 took it right off...it wasn't a scratch....apparently something got caught between the bottom part of the door panel and the kickplate, and it got rubbed/squashed against the kickplate itself making it seem like a thick, flat scratch. It came off literally in less than 20 seconds

Thanks for your help guys!
