A while ago, i bought a bats valance, and it was cut wierd according to my installer, so me and bat worked it out and he replaced it.

I had the right side left over, and i just wanted to play around with it today to get a feel of it, see if i can install the better cut overlay: Here is my experience.

*REMEMBER IT WASNT A "GOOD CUT"*

-So i got all my tools: Hair Dryer, soapy water/spounge, then spray bottle, credit card wraped in towel. Basically all thats needed.
-I also had to remove my liscense plate (which i think is normal)
-Then i cleaned the valance area, soaked it up and began to play around.

A question for those who installed it: This might have been due to the cut, it might not.

But when applying it in order for no car around the exhaust i had two choices, 1. let it be a little uneven near the top of valance in order it to fit the exhaust cut DECENT,also fell a bit further from splash gaurds then expected, or 2. When holding the valance to cover the car, it would cringe up and i was all uneven around the exhaust cutout, thats when my installer said it was cut wrong.

If thats not normal, and it was cut wrong, then i think the valance shouldnt be hard to install. If that is normal, then im just going to let a store do it or something. which i doubt it was normal because my installer said the same thing. just making sure.

And about how far off from the splash gaurds should it be? And the cutting around the plate was that hard as well?

I think the one problem with the overlay, it seemed like the exhaust cut out was too wide and spread out and put together it would cringe up.

JW what others experience was around the exhaust cutout?

Where was cutting involved, length wise on this cut was a definite extended onto liscense plate, but i wonder if there was supposed to be any cutting around the exhaust

Ok guys, i installed my valance today.

I messed up on the driver side area near the liscense plate, it was all bubbley and stuff, so i thought i had to cut it around the plate, which i didnt need to. So i had to cut another piece off my old one and place it there so up close it looks retarted.

On the passanger side it came out perfect, once you know what your doing its pretty simple. In order for it to look flush around the plate, i just poked a whole in the huge bubble and it looked perfect (which andy tells you to do in the instructions he sends..stuiped me).

Im pretty happy with it, maybe in the fall spring ill buy another right driver side and redo it, but its ok as of now.

I dont like how it doesnt fully match up. Look at the sides by the splash guards.

That's why I didn't get it. But I think all are like that from Bat.

Look good Vinny. Good job.
