Auto Adjusting Windows and Tint

Hey guys,

I am getting my tint done later in the week and have a question.

Since the G37 moves down a little bit whenever you open the door and moves up a little bit when the door closes, does that affect the tint in anyway after the installation? Does the tinter have to do anything special to account for that small movement? I've tried searching for this issue but I can't find any results. Maybe it isnt really a big issue.

Thanks.

A good tinter will have no issues and you have to do nothing special after.

when they put the tint on, they trick the car into thinking the do0r is closed. Theres a little button on the do0r jam, next time you have the do0r open, push it, the window will go up.

Had mine done a few weeks ago, they had no problems with install and the tint is still perfect. I agree, a go0d tinter will h ave no problems.

had no problems with the window going slightly down and up after I got my car tinted. Tint looks great still.

I don't know if you'd ever want to try to overide that function though when closing your door, it makes the car seal better, and probably prevents breaking windows with super hard door slamming.

oh yea, I wouldnt override that function for everyday use. But for tint, it comes in handy to trick it.

My tinter had no problems but I made sure to tell him about it before he started just in case.

I told my tinter beforehand as well, just to make sure it wasnt going to be a problem. A guy in Tampa messed up my girls M3 a little bit (and to0k for freaking ever!) when he tinted it.

When I told my tinter about it in a concerning way, he lo0ked at me like I was crazy. It should be a total non-issue for a competent tinter.
