Window Tint question

I have a black G37S and I was wondering what kinda of tint you guys would recommend? Keep in mind I live n California where there are limits on the front Window tints (I think no more than like 20 or 30 percent).

Can anyone recommend the amount of tint I should get? How much (approx.) do you think It will cost?

Thanks.

I got mine done for $130... You should probably go with one shade under limo... That's what I went with. My G is black and considering my interior is black too, it makes the windows look a lil darker... But yeah, tint is illegal here in Cali...

No tinting in the front see link from CHP.

http://www.chp.ca.gov/html/answers.html

That being said, I've had tinting on every car I own and as long as the front are not limo usually not and issue. Only got a "fix-it" ticket once, had them stripped signed off and replaced.

Nope, any tint, other than like 99% which only cut the UV rays it has no darkening characteristics, is illegal. 30%, 50% all illegal.

I also have a black G37S. I tinted all of the windows (with the exception of the windshield and sunroof) the same shade/tint; and, i requested the lightest tint possible.

If you decide to use a darker tint you may risk getting a fix-it ticket. There are no limits on the front window - the law is specific - no tint is allowed on the front windows - period!

Please clarify this for me...you would trust a website selling window tinting versus the official California Highway Patrol's website on the law regarding window tinting?

Perhaps I misunderstood your meaning...

If you are worried about tickets go with 50%.

I like 15%, its dark, but you can still see pretty good at night.

I'm thinking about getting 15% and 50% on the windsheild for my car.
