Steering wheel "CLUNK"

Okay, verified by the dealer, several of the 2008 G37's and G35's have a very pronounced, yet intermittant clunk from the steering wheel. This occurs both when driving, but noticable in the morning upon your first seconds of driving. You can duplicate it if you move the steering wheel up and down or use the power tilt/telescope.

Mine happens so frequently and I can actually feel the feedback through the wheel. It appears to be the "locking mechanism" for the power tilt/telescope not seated correctly...

Anyone else?

Huh, interesting. My dad's M35 i think is doing this. When ever you adjust it it sounds really different. It mainly does it when you adjust it down, but if you push up on it while its moving it sounds normal. Wonder if this is the same issue you are talking about? I guess it never bugged him enough to get it fixed, plus the lease is almost up.
