My 6mt does it. My old Prelude used to do it. I think I remember something about the clutch throwout bearings making the noise, and it being normal. But who knows? Let's worry about our cars until we can't even drive them.

Guys I went over to Fattah's house today he lives a mile from my house...his noise while idling is louder and more annoying than mine...he's at 5-6k miles though and mine is ONLY at 2,700 miles!!!

BTW, fattah, I called Josh @ Infiniti and man they are kinda bein' wishy washy about it...He was all like, "Well the engineer will come in and inspect adam's car and run some tests and verify as to whether the tranny noise is "normal behaviour"...I was like "the motor/tranny gettin progressively louder while idling and quieting when clutching in? how is that Normal - especially since the AT's prob dont do it.

So basically Josh told me to just wait on the word from him or you as to whether it's an issue. You know they're gonna be biased though and try to brush it off I bet.

I urge everyone with this issue to visit and initiate something with your Infiniti dealership!

Damn, I *JUST* noticed this sound this past weekend when I pulled into the garage. It didnt sound right, and its definitely never happened before this weekend. I have around 5800 miles on it,and Ill be taking it to the dealers to see whats up.

What did the dealers diagnose it as, before they replaced your whole transmission?

It sux cause I was getting my exhaust installed next weekend, now I have to wait on that, cause I dont want no warranty void talk...

I have the same noisy clutch problem 'obviously' but its not outragiously loud so it doesn't bother me. But I have been meaning to make this issue into a thread but havent yet: my clutch grinds when shifting into 6th. If I shift very slowly it doesn't do it. But if I shift at a normal speed it grinds very loud for a bout a split second. You can feel and hear it grind very hard. I took it to the dealership and it stayed there for almost two weeks. I was expecting them to adjust the clutch or something but they gave it back to me and said I wasnt pressing the cutch down enough. BS!!! I put all my weight on the friggin clutch and it still grinds. I think now it is a gear instead of the clutch. And it feels like my clutch has gotten very worn since I got it so I dunno what to do. ORR INFINITI IS USELESS!!!!
