OK, I have confirmation (per salesman) that the original spoiler is indeed under this new one. Thanks for everyones help. I don't know how the salesman came to the original conclusion it was destroyed.

If its the non-oem spoiler than the chrome piece is underneath the spoiler. I know this because when the vendor installed mine I stood beside him and watched him place the non-oem on the trunk right over the chrome piece. He then made his marks with a wax pencil, drilled holes (at that point I left because, well you know) and when I returned it was intalled. Remembering back I asked him where that chrome piece was and he said still there.

Just saw your post #31.... so I see they figured it out. Good deal.

I ordered a spoiler to replace my existing one and they warned me right off the bat that the spoiler will probably be dmaged while being removed. Now I wander if they take it off perfectly fine and resell.

tell them you will take it off yourself. it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to do.
