Not to drudge up an old thread.. but i just looked under the glovebox where the picture shows the passenger light mounting, and there's a panel covering that whole area there on my G.. so unless you remove that or drill a hole....
ucla bruin did a great write up on making your own. If you want the leds that he used I some extra if you want to buy. $10 for white and blue, both sides. You have to buy the other supplies.

The pic above looks like a "cool/light blue" light. Looks like the perfect color for this car.

I understand the color is a light blue kinda like the small LED that shines done on the center console when dark. Same type of thing with OEM ambient.

Even though the OEM prices are high, it might be better to pay the high price now, rather than deal with electrical problems later.
Considering how much my lease costs me, and the fact that i'm no electrical noob cheap is my preferred route, i'd be duping what they do just for cheaper
