are you sure you want 8k? those are getting very near to purple. there is a recent thread which includes a diy for 6k which look very blue. also, going to 8k will significantly reduce your light output and attact the attention of law enforcement.

edit: take a look here. i think it is all the info you need. https://www.myg37.com/forums/body-interior-exterior-lighting/178215-diy-6000k-hid-light-bulb-replacement.html

also, if you want the fog area blue, take a look at what led citylights will do.

speedracer: what led city lights are those? I'm looking for something that matches the headlights but dont want to go the HID fog light route.

since both the city lights and the fogs give off a yellow hue, i replaced the fogs with 4000k sylvania silverstars and the citylights with ultra white leds. the combo comes pretty close to matching the 4300k headlights.

what if i use the 4000k sylvanias for my fogs and use ultra blue leds for the city lights? would they blend to make a nice blue color? this is what im really going for with my car

that would probably give a blue tint with the fogs on. my ultra whites look blue unless the fogs are on. then it's more white than blue.

any pics? I'm keeping my stock HIDs for my headlights but I just want the fogs to match it as close as possible.
