No different than whatever Lexus sedan comes with them. I can't remember if it is the ES or the IS. I've seen quite a few of them on the road. I changed mine out with the superbrightled's and so far, no problems.

I've seen lights like those on Lexus vehicles too. Are the cops really pulling people over for them? (I was thinking about buying a set)

i got the ones from superbrightled also, and where im at the cops are so picky about everything and i havent gotten pulled over so i think they are fine long as they arent an outrageous green,
but the whole front license plate thing has gotten me 2 and a half times(the half from when the officer was called away during my stop for some accident) but i have yet to get a ticket, and i keep the oem brackets/screws and my license plate on the passengerside for these occasions

which bulbs are you guys using from superbright? Also are the stock license plate bulbs side mounted (side facing plate) or facing down (top of bulb facing plate)

why would u get in trouble for having those? Your giving the cop better visibility to see your plate lol, i dont see why you would get busted, plus I have them on mine, looks clean. I got mine from superbrightleds.com

Yeah i did 5's in the maps too, others were complaining that those aren't bright enough but i think there plenty bright. The 12's must be bright as hell! It took me all of 10 mins to change out all the bulbs (plates doors trunk and maps.)
