Nope... That's one thing I wish it did. The seat in a sedan slide back and steering column raises. My guess is that stopped the seat from moving back in the event someone is in the back... they would get smushed.

I have my #2 setting to have the seat all the way back and the steering wheel all the way up. That way when I want to get out I just ress "#2" and I am out.

Now that's idea, especially since I'm the only one that uses the car.

Thanks for the idea!!!

KAHBOOM, smart idea!!
Thinking about it, I wished there were 3 memory settings so that we could set one just for lowering the side view mirrors when backing up, or 4 settings one for each mirror!!
Have you found a smart solution for that to happen?

Do none of the G37's do that? I know on the sedan the automatics do it, but not the manuals. Not really sure what the thinking behind it was. I agree with the three memory settings comment. When I had my Tahoe, there was 2 settings for the driver, and one setting for entry / exit. Never used it....but it was nice to have

I think tha tthe very first run of G37s have an exit setting. But definitely none of them that were produced after October '07.

I haven't found a solution for the side mirror down. I am hoping that some of our more technically savy vendors will one day produce a mod for it. I would imagine that it shouldn't be too difficult.

Try this one for the side mirrors....among other things. I've heard nothing but good reviews.

thanks
Set up drive position to switch #2 and seat-back/steering-up to switch #1 and the seat will automatically slide back after locking on exit and then unlocking for entry.
If you don't lock and you open the door the seat will not slide back.

Edit: I take this back. This is the way I have had my G set up since day one so I tried the method mentioned in this thread and when I reset to my old method the seat will no longer slide back on entry...go fiqure.

reedit: I reset both buttons to 'no control' by pressing 'set' and #1 simultaneously and then the same with #2.
I then set only the #2 button as described in the black text above. After two stops and locking the door upon exit each time, the system now behaves as described above. Seat slides back when unlock button is pushed.
