Scratched interior handles?

I am curious how many people have scratched interior door handles?

When I bought my car it already had scratches on the driver side door handle (from someone getting in to take a look at the interior). And now within 3 months already has scratches on the passenger side handle.

Is anyone else getting these? I am wondering if a clear plastic overlay (kinda like a cellphone screen protector) would help?

I PM'ed BAT (the guy that makes the smoked light overlay's) to see if he can manufacture something like this. Would you guys buy them?

i have those too...passenger side from my girlfriend's nails i have her clip em shorter and filed now.....my side has less (mostly from the 40 miles of test driving) cause i am more conscious and make sure only my skin touches and not nails....I would prob buy em though yeah....prevent more i guess...

EDIT: u are talking about the INTERIOR door handles. Yes those scratch easy. I only have two almost microscopic nicks in them - nothing noticeable...some kind of film would be nice...interestingly enough - one of the video reviews of the G37 I saw - the guy mentioned that his handles got scratched bad somehow - he made some comment like "whoa seems like these aluminum handles scratch easy but then again you will probably take better care of the car than some journalists"

I recently got my first scratch on the drivers side from either my watch or ring. They are plastic and the surface isn't particularly durable. I suppose not producing it in the washii aluminum finish was a cost saving move. I also considered a protective film but don't know if that's a practical solution. I wonder how expensive the part is to just replace...

i don't think the parts are expensive

and they are aluminum.. i took a look when my door panel was off to get the windows tinted

they pop right off the door handle if you want to take a look.

no scratches on mine so far

Yeah I've mentioned this before. I have a couple small scratches on my driver's side handle which I noticed not even 2 weeks after having the car. You just have to be careful when you're getting in and out.

I never looked into this, but I always wondered if you could get a small piece of the clear bra material and put it on the handles to protect from scratches...

i've scratched mine with my watch. I actually used flitz polish and it came out and it also turned the piece into a chrome shine look. So i did the passenger side also to even things out. looks alright!

i'd put the clearbra material on mine, but i wouldn't like the glossy look. anyone know of a clear bra type material with a matte finish?

Yes! I know it was the dealer too...when i first sat in the car it had all the plastic wrap over the doors and stuff, scratch free....once they prepped it the scratches were there...but i noticed days later, however ill be going back and getting it fixed under warranty.

wait are you talking about the handles inside the car or the outside ones? I have nothing on the inside handles but i have a few little ones on the outside ones on inner portion. But every car i have ever had has had those. short of not opening your doors i dont see how you can stop it...
