Thanks ghideon! But Fremont is in North Bay. South Bay is south of Los Angeles (Torrance, Long Beach, ...)

no actually there is only one bay area... and that is the san francisco bay area.... and south bay is san jose, fremont, santa clara area, etc.

Actually I've been looking for a good tint shot to hit up as i just got a g35 about a week ago. Hoping to get some bat tail overlays and ask em if they can do that as well at the same time.

Ah, I was wondering about that (your location says SoCal).

You crazy SoCal people. Here we have a North Bay, East Bay, and South Bay. And what I call the Far East Bay (Pleasanton/San Ramon/Livermore).

I went to www.tintmastercity.com yesterday in Canoga Park. They did a great job and were very friendly, so if you don't mind the drive, give them a call.

gmlee86,

Can I ask what kind of tint you got and how much they charged you for it?
Did they offer lifetime warranty on the film you got?

Thanks,

35% all around 3M Color-Stable tint was $180 for 6 windows (two fronts, two backs, back window, and moonroof) and a lifetime warranty. Ask for Matt or Robert if he isn't available.

Thanks gmlee86!

The shop is about 40 miles away from where I live, but I'm definitely considering this place.

No problem. I drove from Long Beach after getting out of class so I know how you're feeling about the drive. Traffic wasn't too bad at 11 AM and getting there took about 45 minutes but the traffic coming back at 2:30 PM was pretty much a parking lot all the way back and took an hour and a half. They also do clear bras (you gotta schedule an appointment for that though) and quoted me at $660 but I decided not to get it and shop around a bit more.

You know the line: THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICS!

I will be going with 3M as well. And, our laws limit the front sides to 35%. Since the rear sides are so small, I would stick with the 35% there as well. (Otherwise, two little dark windows in the rear seems weird to me.)

The question is do I do the rear window 35% or go to 20%. So, if I could see pics of your car, especially like 3/4 rear views showing the back and one side, then I would have a better idea of what to do.

I am going in next Tues. Any help you can give me will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

I'll take pics tomorrow when the sun is out. But for now I'll give you this lol. The crappy lighting in the garage makes it look way darker than it actually is.

The sun is starting to come out so here's the pics. Also, when you go there tell them Geoff sent you. Hopefully they'll remember me and they might give you a break.

Sweet. I have the same color. I was debating between 30% and 35%. but from your pics, 35% looks pretty good. Thanks.
