Stupid question, I know

So I had some work done on my rear bumper when I was hit from behind, the work is good and it looks great. Only problem, I cant figure out how to get the darn cargo net back on. I hooked it up to the 4 rings in the trunk but it is not tight at all and doesnt seem right, what am I doing wrong. I feel like the biggest tard right now.

By the way, very cool feature if you try and shut the keys in the trunk it will not shut all the way and it will beep at you. I just figured if you shut the kyes in the trunk it wouldnt lock.

from what i remember, the net is trapezoidal in shape. maybe you have it upside down? try flipping it to see if it gets taught.
